Joining in Prayer
It’s incredible that the last instructions that Jesus gave to His disciples were not that they should go into all the nations preaching and demonstrating the Kingdom of God, but before advancing, they should pray until they were filled with the Holy Spirit and thus become witnesses to all the earth. The Book of Acts is the answer to what happened in Acts 1:14 where 120 gathered for prayer until the Holy Spirit was poured out on the Day of Pentecost. The “rushing of a mighty wind” in Acts 2:1 was no more than the “roar of heaven” over the city of Jerusalem that gathered multitudes in that city to “taste and see” that the Lord is good.
